By closely monitoring the ERP implementation, our resources can dramatically improve the likelihood that your project completes on time and meets user requirements.
Our ERP Quality Assurance consulting framework includes the following:
- Application Control Framework – Sunera consultants can analyze the design and implementation of operational and financial controls within the business processes being implemented. We focus on controls where critical configuration and business-change decisions are made.
- Application Security Controls – Our ERP professionals can evaluate the application security environment as it relates to the newly implemented system. We review application security controls to prevent unauthorized or inappropriate access to business functions, sensitive transactions and data, and system functions. This type of review of application security controls and user/ group security profiles must be managed appropriately and closely linked to business processes and related controls.
- Data Conversion – Ensuring that data is converted accurately and completely from legacy environments to newly implemented ERP’s is critical. As such, Sunera’s data conversion services are aimed at helping to ensure that converted data has been evaluated, reconciled, approved and all necessary sign-off’s have occurred prior to the conversion. In addition, we can evaluate any interfaces used for conversions to ensure that they have been adequately tested.
- Testing Analysis - Integration testing and user acceptance are critical components to the successful implementation of any system. We can assess the effectiveness of the testing plan to ensure it is both comprehensive and allows for the application to be properly tested in an integrated setting.
- Documentation Analysis – Once implemented, Sunera can perform an analysis of all the essential documentation for the ongoing maintenance and support of the application. We ensure both availability and clarity of the user manuals so that they may be used both for reference and to guide the user with how the process should operate.
- Data Interface Controls – It is important to understand the source of data and the issues to be addressed to interface legacy and other systems data to a new ERP package. We can evaluate the business need for the interface, technical approach, transaction/data volume and timing issues, interface management/monitoring, and error/problem management procedures. Converted/interfaced data must be complete and accurate to ensure continued business operations and maintain the integrity of dynamic data such as inventory positions, purchase and sales order positions, payables, receivables, account balances, and other operational and financial information.
- IT Infrastructure – Sunera employs very technical professionals with deep infrastructure knowledge and experience. As part of comprehensive quality assurance program, our infrastructure resources can evaluate the configuration, architectural design and recovery capabilities of the new ERP platform. In addition, these resources are experts in the field of information security and can perform vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses prior to system “go live”.
