IFRS Conversion "Best Practices" to Ensure Project Success

Location: Bankers Hall Auditorium, 315-8th Ave. SW, Calgary AB

Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required for all Canadian publicly accountable profit-oriented enterprises. This includes public companies and other "profit-oriented enterprises that are responsible to large or diverse groups of shareholders." IFRS, similar to Canadian GAAP is "principles" based, however there are some considerable differences that will cause this transition to be a very significant project for most organizations. Substantial investments will need to be made in the coming years to ensure compliance with the new regulations and standards.
In this seminar, Corey Wells and Mathew Kinver will discuss the business impact of an IFRS conversion and share some of Sunera UK's best practices realized during the UK transition to IFRS.
