Eric Dieterich is a Director in Sunera’s South Florida office and leads the firm's national Data Privacy practice. Eric has developed and implemented privacy programs for multi-national organizations, assisting them in their effort to become compliant with local and international data privacy laws. Eric has developed a data privacy framework that utilizes a risk-based approach to implement data privacy principles. He also has extensive experience performing application controls and general computer controls design, testing, and remediation.
Prior to Sunera, Eric was a senior IT auditor for Morgan Stanley and was a member of Ernst & Young’s IT audit practice. Eric has participated in numerous Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 projects. Eric also has system implementation experience with Andersen’s Business Consulting Practice. Eric is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA). He is actively involved with the International Associational of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and has presented at numerous events.
